A letter from Leonardo.

I am Leonardo Bosquez, creator of Bosquez guitars. I’ve been a musician all my life, and I’ve come to understand the special relationship musicians have with their instruments. A quality instrument allows the player to express freely, with intuition. Knowing this, I designed my bass and guitar models focusing on comfort, balance, and expressive power while providing exceptional value.

After years of live performances, modifying and repairing instruments, and learning all I could independently, I attended the Guitar Craft Academy at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood California where I graduated in high regard. During my time there, I was solely responsible for the care of the guitars and basses of the entire school; a fleet of over fifty instruments. Soon after, I earned a job at the mighty True-Tone Music in Santa Monica where I worked with the best in the industry. I finally moved back home to Texas and set up shop in San Antonio.

My devotion to creating excellent instruments compels me to use only the highest quality woods and hardware, to finish each instrument beautifully and to install premium electronics from brands such as Bartolini, Seymour Duncan, and EMG.

The Tierra bass and Culpa guitar are exciting and beautiful steps forward in design. The offset body and graceful curves balance perfectly, effortlessly staying in a playing position ideal for any genre of music. I am proud to offer these sleek modern classics on an individually built basis. I would love to build something special, just for you.
